Now, Jiraya, the Naruto's master has set out to look for the Akatsukis leader, Pain. Jiraya knows they live in the Hidden Rain Village, s he goes there. Once he had infiltrated the rain village , Konan, one of his old students had found him. Jiraya and Konan fought, but Jiraya won because he sticked up all of konans Paper attacks. So she retreated. But once Konan Retreated he saw who he was looking for, Pain. They started to fight and Jiraya saw that Pain had the Rinnegan, the most powerful visual jutsu. Pain also had the power to summon many types of animals. one being a huge chimera dog thing that couldn't be beat until you took down the user of the jutsu. As soon as Jiraya was taking the upper hand, Pain summoned 2 more pains. one of the pains had the power to absorb ninjutsu and the other, I think had the power to read minds. since the other three were taking the upper hand, Jiraya used sage mode, a transformation that allows you to get chakra from nature and become much stronger in physical strength but also in ninjutsu. Jiraya used genjutsu and one point and killed all 3 of the pains. but they were brought back to life and 3 more pains appeared this time. Jiraya was outnumbered and lost to the 6 paths of pain. But before he died he wrote a secret message on the back of one of Jirayas toads and sent him to the Leaf Village so someone could read this code and figure out pains powers. Now pain had all but one objective,go to the leaf and capture the nine tails jinjuriki.

Sasuke continues his search for Itachi and he encounters 2 other Akatsuki; Deidara and Tobi. Deidara wants to be the one to kill Sasuke for all the trouble he's caused. At first Sasuke starts having truble evading all of Deidaras bombs. Deidara even uses a giant C4 clone of himself that explodes into mini particles that eat up all living things particles thus disintegrating that thing. So Sasuke uses genjutsu and makes Deidara think that he got Sasuke but he didn't. Sasuke then appeared on the back of Deidara and used Chidori. but that was a clone. Sasuke at that moment used two rigged shuriken and cut of Deidaras two arms. Now that Deidara couldnt use his explosives, he made a last and final attempt to kill Sasuke by using his Ultimate Art. To do his he has to kill himself and explode. That explosion would be massive. So Deidara did that but failed because Sasuke used a Summoning Jutsu and teleported himself  to another dimension and back. Sasuke made it, but barely.

Sasuke has been doing some thinking and has decided himself on one thing... To kill Orochimaru! Sasuke knew that Orochimaru wanted his body, so when Orochimaru was weak and Sasuke had no more use of him, he made his move. Sasuke came in and used a Chidori sharp spear on Orochimaru. Then Orochimaru transformed into his white snake form, Orochimaru tried to trap and strangle Sasuke with his giant snake, but Sasuke used the curse mark and with his wings, he stopped the attack. At that moment Orochimaru tried to take Sasuke's body, but Sasuke used genjutsu and trapped Orochimaru inside him. Now, sasukes new goal is to recruit new team members to be able to fight Itachi. he recruits, Suigetsu of the hiden mist village, Karin from the Uzumaki clan, and Jugo. He calls this new team "Hebi" meaning snake and moves on to his main goal. to decide the fate if his older brother and rival.. Itachi.

Since Shikamaru decided to get revenge, he, Choji, Ino, and since they needed a leader, Kakashi offered himself for the job. They finally found Hidan and Kakazu. Shikamarus plan was to separate the two immortals. so Shikamaru took Hidan to the forest and fought him himself, while the others were fighting Kakazu. Kakazu, clearly the one with more battle experience, beat Kakashi, Ino and Choji easily. just when Kakazu was about to make the final move, Naruto and Yamato showed up. Naruto had finished his training! Naruto fought with Kakazu for a short time and decided to o his new jutsu, Wind Style Rasen Shuriken! Naruto thought he had Kakazu but missed by a centimeter. Naruto decided to try again, but this time with a distraction. Kakazu thought he hit the right Naruto, but it was a clone. At that moment, Naruto got Kakazu from the back. And he won. Naruto had moved up in strength and ranking by a lot. Meanwhile, because of hidans cockiness, shikamaru got him with shadow pull jutsu and trapped hidan over a hole on the ground. then using Asumas lighter, Shikamaru set a  bunch of paper bombs and hidan wen down into the hole. Since he had no arms or legs because of the explosion, he couldn't get out. The leaf had done it, they had taken down 2 Akatsuki members and saved the Ninetails jinjuricki!!

Now the Akatsuki are coming up and getting more involved. Now its Shikamaru and Asuma vs Hidan and Kakazu. Hidan is immortal and Kakazu has 5 hearts, which practically makes him immortal as well. The Akatsuki are in pursuit of one thing... the tailed beasts. And this time they were looking for Naruto, the nine tails jinjuriki. The reason Asuma, Shikamaru and two other leaf ninja were deployed to fight them was to stop them from coming to the  Leaf village. During this fight asuma was killed by hidan and the rest escaped, team Asuma had lots of grief from this and Shikamaru decided that he wanated revenge. while all of this was happening, Naruto was training to develop a new jutsu.

Yamato, Sakura, and Naruto have finally gotten to Orochimarus hideout. although Sai had mysteriously disapeared, but they found him among the hideout. his real intentions was to kill sasuke but failed. Finall, team 7 reunites and the battle begins. Sasuke easily takes down all four of team 7 because of his tremendous power. He is now able to emit Chidori from all over his body, called chidori stream. Naruto, angered and surprised at the same time by Sasukes power didnt give up, but he ended up hurting himself even more. Sasuke then left, leaving team seven discouraged and bewildered.

Up next is Naruto vs Orochimaru at the Tenchi bridge. Naruto went berserk and unleashed his Nine Tails power, this time, sprouting a 4th tail. Naruto won easily, but Yamato, team 7's new captain,subsiding for Kakashi, had to control Naruto power and take him out of this form. Through the struggle, Sakura made an attempt to stop Naruto, but Naruto ended up hurting Sakura. At that momment Yamato used the first hokages sealing jutsu, Tenth Edict on Enlightenment and stops Narutos rampage. Naruto came out severely wounded but sakura healed him. Now, Naruto is off to Orochimarus hideout to go fet Sasuke back.
